I must be getting tight in my old age .. once upon a time I would identify a 'must have' on eBay and bid 'til it was mine. More recently I have missed out on the following items:
• Mongoose Expert $255 / my bid $250
• Roger DeCoster US $295 / my bid $290
• Diamond Back $177.50 / my bid $170
• Skyway TA US $455 / my bid $450
• Haro Sport £320 / my bid £310
Sometimes, not getting too excited about an item is the best approach. I was only prepared to pay $125 - $150 for a Nitto stem that was similar to one I purchased recently but some muppet paid $295 for it. Sorry if that was you!

20 May 2011 Dead Horse contributor, Colin, recently bought himself a toy - a polishing kit that he will use to restore parts of a upcoming feature road bike, a 70s Peugeot. His first attempt on an old, rough headstem is quite impressive - the photos do not do it justice! More…

17 Mar 2011 Picked up a lovely set of Malvern Star SuperMax CrMo decals today from the same guy I bought the blue pads from. Good old AusPost - they had been sitting at the post office for over a week but they did not bother carding it for me .. pic…
