Schwinn Bicycles
My interest in the Giant made Hotfoot and variants available in other countries eventually lead me to the Predator range of bicycles made for Schwinn in the early to mid 80s. These bikes are classic Giant and some models are almost identical to the Hotfoots sold here in Australia. Most disappointing though for me is that these bikes seem to be higher spec than ours - look at the 24" full CrMo cruiser the US got compared to our HiTen version..

1998 Schwinn Catalogue
The 1998 Schwinn Bikes & Accessories catalogue is printed on near A3 sized paper. It features the usual array of mountain, road, cruisers and kids bikes along with accessories including helmets, gloves and a range of bags.
On the BMX front, this catalogue features a range of freestyle bikes - HydraMatic, AutoMatic, PowerMatic and the SuperMatic - as well as race bikes - Super Stock, Pro Stock, Predator Pro, Predator FW and the Predator Pro Mini. The names of the freestyle bikes are a hoot and remind me of Grease.
