Schwinn Bicycles
My interest in the Giant made Hotfoot and variants available in other countries eventually lead me to the Predator range of bicycles made for Schwinn in the early to mid 80s. These bikes are classic Giant and some models are almost identical to the Hotfoots sold here in Australia. Most disappointing though for me is that these bikes seem to be higher spec than ours - look at the 24" full CrMo cruiser the US got compared to our HiTen version..

1974 Schwinn Catalogue
Agin, Schwinn have gone with a catalogue that features tourist and iconic locations to great effect. The fashion sense has not improved from previous catalogues either with dress shorts and polo tops featuring heavily.
New in the 1974 catalogue is the Schwinn Sprint "a new, but test, concept in lightweight bicycle design ... proven by computerized standards, established at the Calspan testing laboratory". Of course in 1974 most people had no idea what could be achieved with a computer of the day so this sounded very high-tech to consumers regardless of what the truth was.
