Schwinn Bicycles
My interest in the Giant made Hotfoot and variants available in other countries eventually lead me to the Predator range of bicycles made for Schwinn in the early to mid 80s. These bikes are classic Giant and some models are almost identical to the Hotfoots sold here in Australia. Most disappointing though for me is that these bikes seem to be higher spec than ours - look at the 24" full CrMo cruiser the US got compared to our HiTen version..

1982 Schwinn Catalogue
This scan was taken from a dealer's catalogue. As such, the catalogue has suffered a little damage where the bike sizing guide has been cut from the last page. Other than this missing information, the catalogue was in good overall condition and included a price guide which I have included as pages 65 through 68.
This catalogue contains a helpful section for riders starting out in BMX racing (page 37) and offers useful advice such as "The first and most important element in becoming a true BMX competitor is to decide that you really want to race" and the obvious ".. only one rider can be the winner". Thank god they cleared that up!
