198? Orion (Made by Giant)

I found this bike in the rubbish behind the local coffee shop. At first glance I thought it was a Hotfoot - after all it had the distinctive Giant dropouts - but on close inspection I realised it was an Giant made bike sold as an Orion.

The paintwork on this bike is in really good condition and is quite striking. It will need a new seat of wheels and tyres - as the wheels are buckled and the tyres rotten - but other than that it might make a nice rider.

My guess is this is an '85 or '86 model. Unfortunately, there are no serial numbers on the rear dropouts or on the bottom bracket which is quite unusual for Giant as most of their bikes have both a build date and serial numbers stamped on the right and left dropputs respectively.
