1982 Repco Team Hotfoot

I really had no intention of building another '82 Team as I both already had one and the '88 Freestyle I am building is taking too long - possibly because I have lost interest a little. But when I saw this Lemon Yellow frame and fork set come up, I couldn't help myself. Haydn Purves had stripped it down and powder-coated it leaving just the building to me.

I decided to strip my black '82 X-Gusset and transfer all of the parts to this bike. I had never been totally satisfied with the black build - it lacked something (colour maybe!) and was pretty boring. It did however have some great parts for this build including the satin black bars and Suntour-style stem, Shimano SX levers and Tourney callipers.

The decals are a set Lixy scrounged from left overs she had and includes the iconic blue Team CrMo decal but is missing the Hotfoot decal that runs up the seat post. Oh well, what can you expect for cheap! The pad set is a custom colour set made by Steve at EsemDesign and the yellow looks great against the frame colour.

The build went together so quickly that I didn't really capture it in photos.
