This is what allows you to accomplish more in a shorter period of time, and that is why levers are often used to lift heavy objects or moving large amounts of cargo. Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles, also referred to as upvc door handles feature levers on both sides to operate the multipoint locks. These come in many variations & finishes and can be used with a variety of materials, including UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for both the doors, both exterior and interior with screws and spindles included. They are also available in handed and unhandled versions to suit different users.
They can be used to replace an existing doors made of upvc. They are typically operated by lifting the levers to throw out all of the multipoint locks and turning the key to close and unlock. They provide additional security compared to lever handles for doors as the locking operation can only be accessed from the inside with keys in the event that the door is locked.
They're not as secure as a cylinder lock, but they're an affordable way to add extra security to your home. The only downside is that they do not provide the same level of security as a cylinder lock, and therefore don't block access to the home if the door is left open.

Lever/Snib

A snib button can be extremely useful, particularly for homes where it's crucial to protect privacy or ensure security. If your spouse is expected to arrive home late from work, you can apply the snib so that they can't get in until they're ready to come in. This kind handle can also be used for doors in the interior, like those in bedrooms where you want to limit access from outside.
In some instances there are instances where snib buttons could cause problems, particularly if you have older locks and doors that are distorted. If the snib switch is accidentally pressed, or by someone who isn't familiar with it, your door may shut and lock you out. You can usually gain entry by knocking on the door frame or letterbox. However this isn't the best option.

Lever/Moveable Pad
This is a well-known handle design for front doors that has the advantage of stopping the door from opening from outside without keys if the lock is not deadlocked. This is accomplished by a 'pad' shaped external handle which locks in the gap between the handles and lock case to stop the latch from being pulled back or the door from being opened.
This handle is designed to be used with uPVC multipoint locks that employ split spindle mechanisms. This type of operation requires that the internal lever handle and external pad handle be attached to the same lock case.
